Shaolin Chi Mantis combines three Kung Fu styles into one school to create the ultimate curriculum for the ultimate Kung Fu school with the traditional Buddhism of China included.

The SHAOLIN of Shaolin Kung Fu is the ancient Kung Fu of 1,000 years ago when the Shaolin Monastery "borrowed" the Kung Fu of the Zha family, and other Chinese Muslim families to create a newer martial art.

The CHI of Tai Chi is from the Yang Style Tai Chi Short Form as taught by Shaolin Chi Mantis. Buddha Zhen received training in several Tai Chi styles and incorporated the best lessons from all of them, into this "Yang Style Tai Chi Short Form of Shaolin Chi Mantis."

The MANTIS of Northern Praying Mantis includes the original Forms by the founder, Abbot Wong Long, and also many Forms that have developed since then from the 7-Star Mantis and Tai Chi Mantis styles.

For all that we offer, and the benefits of utilizing what we offer, Shaolin Chi Mantis is the best Kung Fu school in the world.

Unlike Karate, we don't punch and kick each other every class. We have no "free sparring." Tai Chi sparring, or "Pushing Hands" sparring, is the most violent sparring we do in our Taiji Kids programs. When one student lifts a foot off the ground, the other student gets a point.

Our choreographed routines involve kicking and punching each other, but the moves are planned, rehearsed, and practiced at safe speeds.

Our Founder, Buddha Zhen Shen-Lang "Spirit Wolf of Truth," started teaching professionally in 1992 when he founded Shaolin Chi Mantis Traditional Buddhist Gongfu. In 1996, Buddha Zhen founded the Tai Chi Youth nonprofit organization. In 2008, Buddha Zhen founded BUDDHA KUNG FU. As of 2010, no student has broken a bone in any of Buddha Zhen's classes or schools.

With the traditional wisdoms, ethics, and morals of ancient China mixed in, the Tai Chi Kids programs of Buddha Kung Fu have already produced some outstanding youths in leadership, behavior, and school grades.
